Developer Portals

Developer Portals are fully customizable websites where API consumers discover APIs, read documentation, and subscribe to API Products. The Control Plane supports up to ten Developer Portals per tenant, all hosted and managed by Boomi as part of the SaaS offering (or self-managed for on-premises installations).

Each portal can be configured for a specific organization or audience, with its own branding, content, and set of visible API Products. Portals can allow anonymous browsing or require authentication, and can enable self-service subscriptions or require administrator approval.

Key concepts​

  • Developer Portal — A branded website for API consumers. Can be Boomi-managed (hosted by Boomi) or self-managed (hosted by you). Each portal has a unique token for authentication and a configurable URL
  • Portal Pages — Custom content pages (Markdown or HTML) within a portal, such as Getting Started guides, FAQ, or support information
  • Portal Blocks — Reusable content components that can be placed across portal pages
  • Menu Items — Customizable navigation structure for the portal
  • Portal Properties — Branding and appearance settings including title, description, and theme configuration
